If you are wondering about how Outcrowd came about, then here is how it happened. 

Brigitte and Ariana and are seasoned vocalists and have both been entertaining crowds for a long time as solo artists.  They met a grassroots music festival named "FigJamin" (which is becoming a very regular event in the Waikato).  Their connection and relativity was instant.

Over a very short period of time it became very apparent that their ability to blend styles had the work ethics of an excellent duo in the making.  With a systematic approach, they were able to take their huge repertoire of over 1500 songs and formulate an approach were they could build sets that would suit all occasions.

Coming up with a name was a different story.  There were many conversations about how to find something we had in common, apart from the music itself.  Then came that questions that led to our name... Brigitte asked Ariana, "Were you ever part of the in-crowd?"  "No, I wasn't" Ariana responded.  "Well, neither was I - I was only part of the self-appointed outcrowd."  was Brigitte's response.  It was a simple as that.  

Outcrowd was created as part of that symbolic connection. When you hear us, you will realise we didn't (and don't) need to be part of any other crowd, but our very own.   We aren't big on recordings, not keen on being famous, we are just big on singing live at functions for you!  If you want to find out how popular Outcrowd is, you should check us out and book us for your upcoming function.

It shows our personalities and that we like to have fun with ourselves while working hard on our songs.

We perform using backing tracks for a number of reasons.  The primary one being that we can rely on them to not let us (or you) down.  Our personal experience with some instrumentalists is, that as singers, we get limited into a small pocket selection, that is contingent on what those musicians know.  This is difficult for us, because we are always exploring new songs, at a rate that can be hard to keep up with.  

We both have many songs under our belts. we want to be able to offer you as many of our favourites.  We find the best way to do this is through the formatted shows derived from the baths of music we bring into Outcrowd, before we handpick them for suitability in our gigs.  We are also pleased to inform our support people that we have some pretty awesome originals coming too.
